According to reports, a factory in Russia that produces MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket Systems) caught fire.

On Saturday, a fire erupted on the premises of a Russian factory that is the exclusive producer of multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) in the country and is also under sanctions.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a fire broke out on the property of the PJSC Motovilikha Plants, which is located in the central Russian city of Perm, around 8 p.m. local time. The blaze reportedly started at a transformer booth and grew to cover an area of 10 square meters. Kommersant, a Russian newspaper owned by an oligarch, was the first to report on the incident.

The press office of the factory reported to Pravda that a fire occurred at the transformer substation on their property. However, the fire was quickly contained by the Ministry of Emergency Situations' experts who responded to the scene.

Several photos and videos of the fire have surfaced on the internet, depicting a brief clip on VK Video showing the blaze and a huge cloud of smoke from a close distance. Meanwhile, the Perm 36.6 independent news project shared several photos and videos on Twitter, showing the plume of smoke from a much greater distance.
